Senior Practitioner - Mental Health

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Senior Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner to join our client in Knowsley's  Mental Health Team on an initial 3-month contract covering maternity leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mental Health practitioner to support the day-to-day functions of the team, providing professional leadership, supervision, and oversight while managing a small caseload of complex adult cases.

• →Contract Length: Initial 3-month assignment
• →Start Date: 17 August 2026
• →Location: Halewood Centre, Knowsley, L26 9UH
• →Working Pattern: Hybrid working (2-3 office days per week, remainder home-based)
• →IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• →Qualified Social Worker (BA, MA, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
• →Registered with Social Work England.
• →Previous experience as a Senior Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner.
• →Significant experience within Adult Mental Health Services.
• →Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act, and Adult Safeguarding legislation.
• →Experience providing supervision, mentoring, or practice leadership to other social workers.
• →Strong assessment, risk management, and multi-agency working skills.
