Responsibilities

As a social worker within Safeguarding service, you will be responsible for privileging the best interests of children and young people, which must be based on best evidence and good practice.

  • Complex caseload including undertaking assessments, visiting children and their families, interventions and reviewing the work taken.
  • Work using Signs of Safety model, within the policies and procedures of Children’s Services and regulatory standards.
  • Provide mentoring and share knowledge to support junior colleagues.
  • Degree in Social Work and Social Work England (SWE) registration.
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in children and families social work- ideally in a statutory setting.
  • Must have awareness of the legislative framework.
  • Ability to work in a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Full driving license required.
