Liquid Personnel is recruiting Social Care Team Lead for its client at Galway City, Ireland to join a dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of people, helping them live their best life.
Our client provides a wide range of high-quality services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities to empower people with disabilities to live self-directed lives in an equal and inclusive society. Responsibilities

The Team Leader will provide residential and respite care within a staff team for children and adults with an intellectual disability according to policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • To work closely with both the Person in Charge and/or Assistant Director of Client Services with regard to both planning and implementing the effective delivery of services
  • Support Person in Charge with the management of the annual budget, including staffing and all aspects of expenditure within the centre and be responsible for operating within approved budgets
  • Act as Person in Charge in the absence of Cluster Person in Charge as required
  • Support Person in Charge in Performance Management issues as they may arise
  • Support Person in Charge in ensuring all staff training records are up to date

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have, 

  • A professional degree (minimum level 7) in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification.
  • CORU Registration or in process of registration
  • Previous experience working with people with an intellectual disability or a similar field.
  • Full current driving license with access to your own vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic personality.
  • An ability to advocate on behalf of people we support
