Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Children’s Safeguarding team, based in Wolverhampton.

Are you an experienced Social Worker who thrives on making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children? We are looking for dedicated professionals to join a supportive, forward-thinking local authority in the Northeast.

In this role, you won't just be managing a caseload—you'll be part of a team that prioritizes manageable workloads, high-quality reflective supervision, and real opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out comprehensive, child-focused assessments under Child Protection and Child in Need frameworks.
  • Formulating and implementing robust safeguarding plans to ensure children are safe and supported within their families or care settings.
  • Initiating and managing care proceedings, including writing high-quality court reports and giving evidence when required.
  • Collaborating closely with multi-agency partners (schools, health professionals, police) to deliver holistic, wrapped-around support.

  • Financial Reward: A base salary of £45,000 plus a £2,500 market supplement.

Qualifications and Experience: 

We need practitioners who are resilient, empathetic, and sharp when it comes to risk assessment.

  • Qualifications: A recognized degree in Social Work (BA, Social Work England registered).
  • Experience: Post-qualified experience within a statutory Children’s Safeguarding or Child Protection team.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills for risk assessment, excellent courtroom/report writing capabilities, and a knack for building trust with families in crisis.
  • Compliance: Full, clean driving license with access to a vehicle for community visits, and an enhanced DBS check.
