Social Worker – Learning Disabilities Team

Liquid Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join its client in a Learning Disabilities Team in Rhondda Cynon Taf. This role focuses on undertaking strengths-based assessments and reviews in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, supporting adults to achieve independence, choice and positive outcomes.
You will manage a caseload completing reviews for individuals on a waiting list, working collaboratively with families, carers and partner agencies to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →MA, BA or BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW
- Must be registered with Social Care Wales
- Minimum 2+ years’ post-qualified experience (ASYE completed or equivalent)
- Experience within Learning Disabilities and/or Adult Social Care
- Strong background in assessment, care planning and reviews
- Experience working within a strengths-based, person-centred framework
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritise work effectively
- Experience of multi-agency working and partnership collaboration
- Understanding of safeguarding and risk management processes
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- Ability to apply strengths-based and outcome-focused approaches
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage complex workloads and competing priorities
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High standard of written work and case recording
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to promoting independence, inclusion and choice
