Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Therapeutic Fostering team, based in West London.
The Role:
Join a high-performing, "Good" rated IFA as a Supervising Social Worker. This is an opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about quality over quantity; you will manage a protected caseload, allowing you to provide meaningful, reflective support to your foster carers.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Supervision: Conduct monthly reflective supervision visits with foster carers to monitor the quality of care and placement stability.
- Assessments: Undertake Form F assessments for prospective foster carers and present reports to the Fostering Panel.
- Support & Training: Facilitate "Skills to Foster" training and lead local support groups for carers.
- Safeguarding: Monitoring child protection issues and ensuring all regulatory "unannounced visits" are completed annually.
- Collaboration: Working closely with Local Authority Social Workers to ensure the child’s Care Plan is being met.
What You Will Do: * Provide high-quality supervision and support to a dedicated group of foster carers.
- Participate in the recruitment and initial assessment (Form F) of new applicants.
- Ensure all placements are stable, safe, and meeting the developmental needs of the child.
- Deliver training and support groups to help carers manage complex behaviors or specialized placements.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in line with National Minimum Standards.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Direct experience within a fostering team (IFA or Local Authority).
- Sound knowledge of the Fostering Services Regulations and National Minimum Standards.
- A therapeutic or child-centered approach to social work practice.
- Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle.
