Our client based in Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead their Adult Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This is an exciting opportunity to manage a highly skilled and established multi-agency team that oversees safeguarding referrals for adults with care and support needs who may be experiencing, or are at risk of, abuse and neglect.

Working within a dynamic safeguarding environment, you will lead and support Social Workers, Information Officers, Minute Takers, and safeguarding professionals to ensure timely, coordinated, and person-centred responses to safeguarding concerns. The team works closely with Police, Health Services, Children's Services, CQC, Fire Service, Advocacy Services, voluntary organisations, and care providers to assess risk, share information, investigate concerns, and achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable adults.

The successful candidate will provide visible leadership, oversee complex and high-risk safeguarding activity, drive service improvement, manage performance, and ensure that adults remain at the centre of all safeguarding interventions. This role requires a confident leader with strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent partnership working skills, and the ability to manage service delivery within a complex multi-agency environment

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Leading and managing the Adult MASH service, ensuring safeguarding referrals are screened, assessed, and progressed effectively in line with legislation and local safeguarding procedures.
  • Providing leadership and oversight for complex, high-risk, and sensitive safeguarding concerns involving adults at risk.
  • Managing and supporting Social Workers, Investigating Managers, Information Officers, and Minute Takers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensuring safeguarding thresholds are applied consistently and that decisions are robust, proportionate, and defensible.
  • Overseeing Section 42 safeguarding enquiries and ensuring investigations are progressed appropriately and within required timescales.
  • Working in partnership with Police, Health Services, Children's Services, CQC, Fire Service, Advocacy Services, and voluntary sector organisations to coordinate safeguarding responses.
  • Leading on large-scale and complex safeguarding investigations where required.
  • Using performance data, audits, quality assurance findings, and management information to monitor service effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Managing staff performance, supervision, wellbeing, professional development, recruitment, induction, and workforce planning.
  • Ensuring all safeguarding activity is undertaken in accordance with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, safeguarding legislation, and associated guidance.
  • Contributing to the work of the Safeguarding Adults Board and associated sub-groups through audits, consultations, and service improvement activity.
  • Developing and maintaining effective multi-agency partnerships that strengthen safeguarding practice and improve outcomes for adults at risk.
  • Leading service development initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and safeguarding outcomes.
  • Ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and oversight of safeguarding activity, trends, risks, and service performance.
