Maintenance position available at a multifamily housing community. Heavy cleaning is involved on a daily basis in addition to ensuring the community, building, grounds, apartments, and common areas are maintained in a safe and marketable condition, including but not limited to completing work order requests in a timely fashion and in coordination with priorities determined with the Supervisor, communicating details of work orders, prioritizing and completing maintenance in conjunction with the needs of the leasing efforts, assessing appropriate action for repair vs replace situations (including carpet, tile or vinyl, etc.), and proactively identifying and addressing community needs and liabilities.

Property Maintenance Support:

Assist with routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure property integrity and functionality.

Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other maintenance staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.

Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in property maintenance.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow safety regulations, building codes, and company policies to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.

Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Inventory Management:

Assist in maintaining accurate records of equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring they are properly stored and accounted for.

Emergency Response:

Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly, including after-hours and on-call responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Vendor Coordination:

Support the Maintenance Supervisor in coordinating with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.

Bring your minimum of 3 years of apartment cleaning and/or janitorial experience to the table.

Knowledge of Fair Housing laws is a bonus, showcasing your commitment to compliance.

Relevant certifications such as Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) or HVAC certification are advantageous but not required.
