We view the ASYE as an investment in the service we provide to our community. Participants will be supported by their line-manager and dedicated ASYE assessor, as well as the Workforce and Practice Development Team. Our emphasis is on learning and reflection so that NQSWs finish their ASYE with us, having gained a wealth of experience and feeling confident in their role and their identity as a social worker.
In Newham, the ASYE marks the beginning of a structured career progression pathway, offering clear routes into management and opportunities to further develop professional practice.
