Pan London Liaison and Pupil Benefits Officer 

We are looking for an organised, analytical and customer-focused professional to join our Education Access Service as a Pan London Liaison and Pupil Benefits Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity to support children, families and schools by helping to coordinate work across London and ensuring pupil benefits are delivered effectively.
The role is initially for six months to cover maternity leave, with the possibility of an extension for a further few months.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the operational delivery of the Pan London admissions data exchange, working collaboratively with local authorities and key partners.
  • Process and maintain accurate pupil admissions, appeals and Free School Meal data in line with statutory guidance and local procedures within statutory deadlines.
  • Provide advice and support to schools, parents and colleagues on admissions,  eAdmissions and the Pan London Register.
  • Assess Free School Meal eligibility, including complex applications, in line with Department for Education and Department for Work and Pensions guidance.
  • Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies and ensure the integrity of education records across council systems.
  • You will have experience of working with complex data and administrative processes and excellent attention to detail.
  • You will be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, have strong ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and data management systems and be committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience within school admissions, education services, local government, or a similar statutory environment would be advantage.

This is a full-time role under officer terms and conditions. The role has an anchor day of Tuesday, with an expectation that you may be required to work additional days when needed.
