Bachelors, or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in power electronics development and testing preferred. Solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals.
We are currently seeking a Sr. Engineer for our Test & Validation Power Electronics team. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Review electrical and mechanical schematics, create test cell layouts for instrumentation, low voltage, and high voltage circuitry.
- Conduct verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with industry and requirements.
- Design and set up test benches including jigs and fixtures, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for performance evaluation.
- Strong hands-on and trouble-shooting skills in testing, verifications and validation of power electronics systems, including the use of lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, scopes, etc.).
- Capability to analyze root-cause of the power electronics system and drive R&D activities independently.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Qualifications
- Bachelors, or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in power electronics development and testing preferred.
- Solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals.
- Good hands-on experience for hardware test and validation.
- Familiar with various equipment (force gauge, thermocouples, power supplies, multimeter, hi-pot tester, etc.)
- Knowledge of automotive and industrial environmental reliability requirements (GMW, ISO, IEC standards).
