About the Role
~1 min readWe’re seeking Construction Managers to support large, complex heavy civil infrastructure programs, including highways, roads, bridges, transit (bus and rail), aviation (international airports), and water/wastewater projects delivered through both traditional and alternative delivery methods. You’ll oversee an assigned construction package or group of contracts from preconstruction through closeout, hold the work to the contract documents, and keep cost, schedule, quality, and safety visible so field issues get resolved before they turn into claims.

Requirements
~2 min read- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, or engineering technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of construction management experience for large (>$500M), complex, heavy-civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience overseeing contractor performance on behalf of an owner or agency, including field issue resolution and non-conformance follow-through.
- Experience administering construction contracts, including submittals, requests for information, change orders, and payment applications on publicly funded work.
- Experience evaluating change proposals and contractor pricing for entitlement, cost impact, and schedule impact.
- Ability to review CPM schedules for critical path, logic, and sequencing, and to assess the schedule effect of changes and delays.
- Working knowledge of construction safety and quality assurance requirements on public infrastructure projects, including OSHA construction standards.
- Experience with industry standard construction management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier, Kahua, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Master’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, or engineering technology.
- Active professional certifications and licenses such as CCM (CMAA), PMP (PMI), PE, and/or OSHA 30-Hour Construction (OSHA).
- Experience serving as the owner’s lead construction manager on a package exceeding $100M in construction value.
- Experience overseeing construction across multiple concurrent contracts or task orders on a program exceeding $1B in construction value.
- Experience overseeing a highway, roadway, or bridge package, including structural work such as deep foundations, falsework, and girder erection.
- Experience overseeing construction in an active rail transit corridor, on an operating airport, or at a water or wastewater treatment or conveyance facility.
- Experience leading construction management and inspection staff on an owner’s program team, including inspector assignment and performance feedback.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other dashboard KPI reporting software.
What We Offer
~3 min readExpected Salary: $130k-$200k/year ($63-$96/hour). Luster provides the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might offer for this position based on the successful candidate’s level and years of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, geographic location, etc. Luster reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range depending on circumstances not related to any status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
