About the Role
~1 min readWe’re seeking Field Engineers of various skill levels to support large, complex heavy civil infrastructure programs, including highways, roads, bridges, transit (bus and rail), aviation (international airports), and water/wastewater projects delivered through both traditional and alternative delivery methods. You’ll be responsible for supporting field operations, ensuring technical accuracy, and maintaining compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years' experience in field engineering, construction inspection, or field construction management on large (>$500M), complex, heavy-civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFI processes across both traditional and alternative delivery methods (design-bid-build, CM/GC, design-build, progressive design-build).
- Familiarity with project scheduling, quality control, and document management processes.
- Experience with industry standard project and construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans, etc.).
- Experience with field documentation and inspection platforms (e.g., Procore, e-Builder, Aconex, HeadLight, AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Master's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or construction management.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Engineer in Training (EIT), Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (PE), or Architect Registration (AIA).
- Experience with survey and layout technology (e.g., GPS machine control, robotic total stations, 3D design models, etc.).
- Experience with BIM, 4D scheduling, or digital as-built tools (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Bentley ProjectWise, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Familiarity or proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other dashboard KPI reporting software.
What We Offer
~3 min readExpected Salary: $80k-$125k/year ($38-$60/hour). Luster provides the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might offer for this position based on the successful candidate’s level of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, geographic location, etc. Luster reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range depending on circumstances not related to any status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
