Accessioner/Phlebotomist

• →Identify residents correctly per procedure outlined in MediaLab “153105.635 Proper Patient or Resident Identification”
• →Collect all samples, including blood and swabs (on occasion), with accuracy and efficiency per facility needs.
• →Make sure all samples are labeled correctly and reflect what is on the requisition to include all pick-up samples.
• →Adhere to all Safety and Health standards while you are working in the facility and or traveling; To include all residents and facilities (PHI and PPE requirements).
• →Complete all required documentation within your workday, to include Carevolve orders and accompanying forms as instructed by billing department.
• →Check all facility accordions for any add on orders; confirm with nurse and fax to dispatch, if needed.
• →Prepare all samples correctly for transport and deliver to laboratory or courier.
• →Maintain all communication as directed.
• →Maintain a professional persona and dress as set forth by the standards of the company.
• →Collaborate with other internal departments as needed.
• →Follow instructions and/or other duties as directed by your supervisor.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience accessioning specimens, required.

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience accessioning specimens, preferred.

• MUST HAVE Orchard Harvest LIS data entry experience
