APM Terminals

At APM Terminals, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth through safe, efficient, and continuously improving terminal operations. We are committed to delivering operational excellence by standardising the way we work, developing our people, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across our global network.

The Business Implementation Management (BIM) team is responsible for delivering APM Terminals’ strategic growth agenda, including greenfield developments, expansions, upgrades, and integrations. BIM ensures that new and transforming terminals are delivered and integrated in a consistent way, applying APMT standards and enabling safe, efficient, and scalable operations from day one.

The BIM Rapid Deployment Team is an internal initiative designed to create a deployable pool of experienced operational leaders and future talent who can support critical phases of project execution, especially during pre- and post- go-live.

As part of this programme, you will operate from a home terminal in a real operational role while being deployable to BIM projects globally. Over the span of this assignment, you will contribute both to daily operations and to project execution, ensuring continuity, operational discipline, and capability build in new and transforming terminals.

This role offers a unique combination of operational leadership in a terminal environment and exposure to global project execution, providing a breadth of experience that is not typically available within a single role.

  • Opportunity to work in a home terminal while participating in global deployments across multiple projects and locations
  • Direct involvement in ramp-ups, go-lives, and stabilisation of new or transforming terminals, gaining hands-on project execution experience
  • Accelerated development through exposure to different operating models, geographies, challenges, and leadership contexts
  • Opportunity to apply and deepen expertise in APMT Business System, operational excellence, and continuous improvement practices in high-impact environments
