Mammoth Brands (formerly Harry’s Inc.) is the modern CPG company behind brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. We’re building a new model—and home—brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives, and ultimately challenge the status quo. Our mission is to “Create Things People Like More.” Simply put: everything we do should be better than what already exists. If it’s not, we don’t do it. This guides everything we do, from developing the best product experiences, to making Mammoth Brands a great place to work, to exploring innovative ways to give back to our community.

We got our start in 2013 when our co-founders created Harry's. They built the brand differently—online first, prioritizing direct relationships with customers—and in the process learned they’d created something bigger: a playbook and platform that could help other brands grow and scale to their full potential, and a vision to reimagine consumer packaged goods. Today, Mammoth Brands is a growing portfolio of brands and the largest CPG company built in the last 20 years. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: to create a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. As a company, we’re also committed to making a positive impact and have donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date.

We build brands that move fast and think big — and we hire people who are curious about AI, willing to experiment with it in their day-to-day work, and excited to accelerate what's possible. We prioritize giving our team the tools, training, and space to build real fluency, so you grow alongside the technology and help shape how we use it.

About the Role

~2 min read

Coterie is a modern baby care brand for discerning parents. We design high-performance diapering solutions for some of the biggest parenting challenges. Our products are built to outperform conventional options, and now, as part of Mammoth Brands, Coterie is positioned to accelerate growth and continue raising the standard in baby care.

We're looking for a Demand Planning Manager to own Coterie's demand forecast and help build the planning capabilities required for our next stage of growth.

This is a fully remote role with significant ownership and visibility across the business. You'll own our SKU-level demand plan across DTC, Amazon, retail, wholesale, and emerging channels while helping build the processes, tools, and operating rhythms required to support a rapidly scaling omnichannel business.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit a mature planning function, update a forecast once a month, and send out a report. You'll sit at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Leadership, turning commercial plans, customer signals, historical performance, launches, promotions, and imperfect information into a clear point of view on what we're going to sell and what inventory we'll need to support it.

The right person is equal parts planner, analyst, operator, and builder. You can get deep into a SKU-level forecast, challenge an assumption from the commercial team, identify the business implication behind a forecast miss, and then build a better process so the same problem doesn't happen twice.

Your work will directly influence inventory, working capital, customer experience, and profitable growth, and you'll have the opportunity to shape how demand planning works at Coterie as we scale.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • Own Coterie's end-to-end demand forecast across DTC, Amazon, retail, wholesale, and other marketplace channels, from total business demand down to customer and SKU level.
  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts incorporating historical performance, run rates, seasonality, promotions, marketing plans, retail sell-through, customer forecasts, product launches, and other demand drivers.
  • Develop customer-level forecasts for our growing wholesale and retail business.
  • Translate new commercial initiatives into demand and inventory requirements before they hit the business.
  • Develop a clear, independent point of view on demand rather than simply aggregating inputs from other teams.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Leadership to align the organization around a single, trusted demand plan.
  • Own forecast accuracy and bias measurement and continuously improve both.
  • Diagnose forecast misses to distinguish signal from noise and identify where assumptions, inputs, methodology, or process need to change.
  • Build meaningful reporting and KPIs that help the organization understand what changed, why it changed, and what we should do about it.
  • Identify emerging demand trends, upside opportunities, and inventory risks early enough for the business to act.
  • Create the operating rhythms and accountability that make the forecast a trusted source of truth across the company.
  • Partner closely with Supply Planning to translate demand into inventory requirements and surface future constraints, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor wholesale and retail performance against forecast and quickly incorporate new information into the demand plan.
  • Translate commercial plans into clear inventory implications and actionable recommendations.
  • Support healthy inventory by balancing service levels and growth opportunities against excess inventory and working capital.
  • Communicate forecast changes and their downstream implications clearly so Operations, Finance, and commercial teams can make better decisions faster.
  • Serve as a key contributor to Coterie's evolving S&OP process, including monthly demand reviews and executive decision support.

Our business changes quickly. New products launch. Retailers come online. Packaging changes. Promotions outperform. Priorities move. You'll own the demand-planning side of making those changes work.

  • Build initial forecasts for new products, SKUs, retail customers, and channel launches.
  • Translate launches into SKU-level demand and inventory requirements.
  • Develop depletion and cutover plans for packaging changes, assortment updates, and product transitions, minimizing excess inventory while protecting customer service.
  • Plan inventory requirements for kits, bundles, samples, partnerships, promotions, and channel-specific programs.
  • Support retail expansion and new customer launches by translating business plans into SKU-level demand.
  • Navigate incomplete data and ambiguous inputs without waiting for someone else to hand you the answer.

Coterie is scaling quickly, and our planning capabilities need to scale with it. You'll help us build them.

  • Continuously improve our demand and inventory planning models, reporting, and workflows.
  • Automate manual work and improve data quality, visibility, and speed.
  • Help define the KPIs, reporting, SOPs, and planning cadences that should exist as the organization grows.
  • Work with tools including NetSuite, Parabola, Google Workspace, and future planning technology.
  • Help implement and optimize future demand and supply planning systems.
  • Build processes that are rigorous enough to scale without becoming unnecessarily complicated.

We're less interested in a perfect résumé than evidence that you've actually owned a forecast and know how to make one better.

You likely have:

  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory planning, merchandise planning, supply chain, or a similarly analytical planning role.
  • Experience personally owning SKU-level demand forecasts in a consumer products, retail, CPG, or omnichannel business.
  • Strong command of forecasting fundamentals, including seasonality, promotions, new product launches, trend analysis, forecast accuracy, and bias.
  • Experience planning across multiple channels such as DTC, retail, wholesale, Amazon, or marketplaces.
  • Exceptional Excel or Google Sheets skills. You should be genuinely comfortable building and interrogating complex models, not just consuming them.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to turn large amounts of imperfect data into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience working with ERP, planning, BI, or automation tools. NetSuite, Parabola, Looker, or similar experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively and influence people who don't report to you.
  • A track record of improving the processes, models, or systems around you rather than simply operating what already exists.

  • You think like an owner. You don't wait for perfect information or someone else to tell you what to do next.
  • You're analytically rigorous. You care about getting the numbers right, but more importantly, you understand what they mean for the business.
  • You have a point of view. You're comfortable challenging assumptions and making a recommendation when the answer isn't obvious.
  • You're a builder. A messy model, manual process, or recurring problem makes you want to fix the underlying system.
  • You can move between the details and the big picture. You're equally comfortable investigating a SKU-level variance and explaining the broader business implication to leadership.
  • You're proactive. You surface risks and opportunities before they become urgent.
  • You're a strong cross-functional partner. You can build trust with commercial, financial, and operational teams while holding people accountable to planning assumptions.
  • You're comfortable with change. Priorities evolve quickly in a high-growth business, and you can adapt without losing rigor or follow-through.
  • You're curious about technology and automation. You look for ways to make yourself and the organization faster, smarter, and more scalable.

Within your first year, you will have:

  • Established a trusted, SKU-level demand forecast across Coterie's channels and customers.
  • Meaningfully improved forecast accuracy and reduced systematic bias.
  • Created clear visibility into the assumptions and drivers behind changes in demand.
  • Become a trusted planning partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, Operations, and Leadership.
  • Improved how we forecast and execute new product launches, retail expansion, and inventory transitions.
  • Built meaningful forecasting KPIs and performance reporting that drive better decisions.
  • Automated meaningful pieces of the planning workflow and reduced manual reporting.
  • Strengthened Coterie's S&OP process and the connection between commercial planning, demand, inventory, and financial outcomes.
  • Left the planning function materially more scalable than you found it.
