Junior Creative Strategist
Quick Summary
what worked, what didn't, and
Mammoth Brands (formerly Harry’s Inc.) is the modern CPG company behind brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. We’re building a new model—and home—brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives, and ultimately challenge the status quo. Our mission is to “Create Things People Like More.” Simply put: everything we do should be better than what already exists. If it’s not, we don’t do it. This guides everything we do, from developing the best product experiences, to making Mammoth Brands a great place to work, to exploring innovative ways to give back to our community.
We got our start in 2013 when our co-founders created Harry's. They built the brand differently—online first, prioritizing direct relationships with customers—and in the process learned they’d created something bigger: a playbook and platform that could help other brands grow and scale to their full potential, and a vision to reimagine consumer packaged goods. Today, Mammoth Brands is a growing portfolio of brands and the largest CPG company built in the last 20 years. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: to create a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. As a company, we’re also committed to making a positive impact and have donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date.
We build brands that move fast and think big — and we hire people who are curious about AI, willing to experiment with it in their day-to-day work, and excited to accelerate what's possible. We prioritize giving our team the tools, training, and space to build real fluency, so you grow alongside the technology and help shape how we use it.
About the Role
~1 min readWe're looking for a hungry, curious Junior Creative Strategist to work as a close partner to our Head of Creative/Growth Director. This role exists to multiply great creative thinking — owning the full creative planning cycle from performance analysis through to brief. You'll run monthly brainstorming and planning sessions, translate insights into structured plans with clear territory and style splits, and build high-level briefs that editors and production can move against with confidence. You'll lead monthly Creative Insight Analytics sessions, help pilot AI creative tools, and serve as the creative anchor the team comes to for direction. You'll also be a connector: between creative and performance, between strategy and execution, and between our growth team and the social commerce and TikTok ecosystem teams we work closely with.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Own the full monthly creative planning cycle — run brainstorming and planning sessions, bring the data, drive the ideas, and leave with a plan the team can execute against.
- →Translate performance insights into a structured monthly plan with clear territory and style splits.
- →Build high-level briefs for editors and production — clear enough that the team can move with confidence and without hand-holding.
- →Lead monthly Creative Insight Analytics sessions: what worked, what didn't, and what to chase next. Partner closely with the growth and creative leadership teams on this.
- →Act as a strong cross-functional partner to our social commerce and TikTok teams — syncing on creative needs, feeding insights upstream, and helping ensure creative output is built for the right platforms and moments.
- →Study competitor creative, read customer reviews and comments, and stay in the communities we're trying to reach. Every brief should start from a genuine customer insight, not just a creative instinct.
- →Pick up new tools quickly — AI creative platforms, performance analytics, scripting tools — and build light workflows that speed up concepting and briefing.
- →Support Trybe with creative briefs and strategic direction.
- Genuinely creative, with taste, opinions, and ideas you can defend. You think in hooks, territories, and angles — not just executions.
- A natural cross-functional partner. You communicate clearly, keep people informed, and know how to work across teams with different priorities and rhythms.
- Obsessed with the customer. You think about who you're talking to before you think about what you want to say.
- A "whatever it takes" operator who doesn't wait to be told what to do and finds a way to get things done.
- Fast. You move quickly without sacrificing quality, and you know the difference.
- Energized by AI and new tools. Not intimidated by new platforms — excited to figure them out.
- Comfortable with ambiguity. You can start from a rough idea, a data pattern, or a half-formed brief and run with it.
- A clear, clean communicator. Your briefs are easy to read and your handoffs don't require follow-ups.
- 1–3 years of experience in creative strategy, performance creative, brand or growth marketing, or a related discipline.
- Fluency in Meta Ads Manager or similar performance platforms. You can read the data and draw clear conclusions from it.
- Exposure to direct-response or performance advertising. You understand what makes an ad convert, not just look good.
- Familiarity with short-form video formats and an instinct for what works on platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels — you don't need to be a TikTok expert, but you should be a fluent consumer of the format.
- Familiarity with AI creative tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar). You don't need to have used all of them, but you should be the kind of person who will try them.
- Basic editing literacy (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) is a plus — being able to mock up a rough cut can help unblock a concept.
You'll get a front-row seat to how performance creative strategy gets made — with direct access to senior creative and growth leadership. If you want to grow quickly, take on real creative ownership early, flex across formats and channels, and work on brands that millions of people love, this is the role for you.
