Senior Business Systems Analyst

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for eliciting the needs of stakeholders by investigating and clarifying their requests in order to determine underlying issues and causes. They act as the liaison between business and development teams for the purpose of aligning the designed and delivered solutions with the needs of stakeholders. Their activities include understanding enterprise problems and goals, analyzing needs and solutions, devising strategies, driving change, and facilitating stakeholder collaboration.

• →Lead end-to-end requirements management from discovery through implementation and post-release support.
• →Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, system, and data requirements.
• →Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• →Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business SMEs, product, engineering, compliance, and operational stakeholders.
• →Analyze existing business processes and create process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation.
• →Support solution design by identifying integrations, data mappings, process impacts, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• →Maintain traceability between requirements, development artifacts, test cases, and delivered solutions.
• →Partner with Quality Engineering and business teams to develop test scenarios, support UAT, and validate business outcomes.
• →Create and maintain documentation including business rules, data definitions, decision logs, BRDs, TRDs, and process flows.
• →Support Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery execution.
• →Act as a liaison between business, actuarial, operations, vendor, and technology teams.
• →Support data analysis, reporting, ETL, system enhancements, regulatory initiatives, and production support activities.

• Experience with policy administration and claims processing platforms.
• Experience documenting data mappings, integrations, and business rules.
• Experience with data and reporting environments, ETL processes, or data architecture initiatives.
• Experience supporting modernization, automation, or straight-through processing initiatives.

• 8+ years of overall IT industry experience.
• 5+ years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Technology Business Systems Analyst, or IT Business Analyst experience supporting technology delivery initiatives.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and Agile ceremonies.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and requirements documentation.
• Experience partnering with QA/QE teams to support testing, defect triage, and UAT.

• Strong requirements elicitation, decomposition, prioritization, and change management skills.
• Ability to translate complex business rules into system requirements.
• Strong process analysis and systems-thinking capabilities.
• Ability to analyze data flows, integrations, and business impacts across multiple systems.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or equivalent requirements management tools.

• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in complex, highly regulated environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams and business functions.

• CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, CSM, CSPO, PMI-ACP, or similar Business Analysis/Agile certifications.
