Our Global Wealth & Asset Management (GWAM) Financial Planning & Analysis Internship offers valuable real-world experience supporting one of Manulife’s fastest-growing businesses. You will work alongside experienced finance professionals, gain exposure to wealth and asset management operations, and contribute to meaningful reporting and analysis that supports executive decision-making. This opportunity is ideal for undergraduate students pursuing studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related disciplines who are eager to develop analytical and strategic business skills in a dynamic corporate environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, presentations, and management reporting materials for business leaders and senior executives.
- →Develop an understanding of Global Wealth & Asset Management businesses, including Retail, Retirement, and Institutional Advisory operations.
- →Conduct financial research and analysis to identify business trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- →Assist in the development of new reports, metrics, and analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- →Contribute to management reporting for business units, Group Finance, Investor Relations, Strategy teams, and other stakeholders.
- →Support the creation and enhancement of financial and non-financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- →Perform detailed data analysis and validation while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and financial integrity.
- →Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, operational efficiencies, and analytical capabilities.
- →Collaborate with finance partners, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to support reporting and business analysis initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret financial information and identify meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated experience working with financial models, large datasets, or quantitative analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing, and collaborative team environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work independently while building effective relationships with stakeholders and team members.
- Experience with financial reporting systems, business intelligence tools, or Essbase is considered an asset.

$44,850 CAD - $60,450 CAD
The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work term.
