The Corporate Relations Officer supports and contributes to the overall success of the Corporate Relations Team of MAP International by facilitating and expanding gift-in-kind (GIK) donations of pharmaceuticals (medicines), health supplies, and devices from donor companies as well as cash donations from these same corporate donors. The Corporate Relations Team, as part of the Partnership and Innovations Team, provides opportunities for companies to promote Corporate Social Responsibility through partnering with MAP International in our joint mission of providing medicines to people in need around the world.

Responsibilities

• Prospects for new manufacturers of needed health care products (including pharmaceutical, medical device, OTC and Hygiene and supply companies) for the Corporate Relations Team

• Completing detailed research on potential donors based on product needs, to include CSR focus, product portfolio, partner focus, employee engagement focuses areas

• Monitors industry news to support blind research for new companies of note

• Supports review and analysis of Conference and Event attendees to support engagement

• Support development of strategies that target corporate leadership, employees and associated corporate foundations

• Supports development and engagement plans for new GIK donor prospects in the healthcare industry for CR team members

• Supports development and engagement plans for new GIK donor prospects to grow their own caseload

• Represents MAP (with approval and in partnership with other team members) at industry conferences, events and industry gatherings to honor and connect with donors and learn. All connections at such events will be with assigned caseload and on behalf of the entire CR team – with the focus on building MAP-wide donors and not just individual caseloads.

• Works on detailed research projects with the Corporate Relations (CR) team to increase GIK and cash revenue.

• Under the direction of the Sr Director, Corporate Relations, manages, cultivates and deepens relationships with major pharmaceutical companies. Effectively communicate with existing and potential pharmaceutical company donors, and proactively managing administrative tasks and deadlines associated with these relationships, including organizing meeting agendas and leading effective meetings with corporate partners.

• Contributes to the CR Team’s yearly GIK and cash goals

• Support development of presentations for corporate employees or key personnel for other CR team members portfolios

• Develop presentations for corporate employees or key personnel from assigned portfolio

• Write grant requests and funding proposals for gift-in-kind product donations or cash donations and manage all necessary feedback reports for donations received from donors in assigned portfolio, and support needs from other CR team members

• Supports audits conducted by corporate donors, including pre-audit reporting and communications requested by corporate partners (support assigned caseload and CR team member portfolios)

• Keeps CRM data for portfolio up to date and accurate at all times

• Follows the CR communication plan to keep assigned portfolio donors engaged on a regular basis

• Including obtaining disaster relief funding from corporate partners in the event of a disaster or humanitarian crisis.

• Annual Report engagement and sharing

• Tax, Receiving and Shipping Reports

• Storytelling and regular update presentations

• Engages in one or more Subject Matter Expert Roles within CR team – and supports all other SMEs in their alignment and coordination efforts

• Engages with Data Visualization software to prepare compelling presentations for assigned caseload and CR team members caseloads – as needed

• Supports special projects, as assigned, to drive Corporate Engagement, Program Development, MAP growth and completion of the MAP 2030 Vision.

This role will work as part of the Corporate Relations team (the CROs) and will participate in Partnership and Innovation meetings which include the Short-Term Missions, Domestic Medicines and Partnership teams. Interaction is also required with Marketing, Operations, Finance and Compliance

• Bachelor’s degree, required.

• Project Management experience, preferred.

• 2–5 years of pharmaceutical and health supply industry engagement and/or non-profit experience, preferred

• GIK procurement (Sales), Fundraising and/or Marketing experience desired

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

• Demonstrate ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational skills and proven diligence with ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once.

• Ability to work under pressure with specific deadlines.

• Confident, self-starter and able to work independently, while also working well in team situations

• Ability to independently lead effective meetings.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams is required. Experience with a CRM is preferred.

• Excellent phone skills, clear diction, and sensitivity to importance of donor relationships and serving those relationships well.

• Ability to prioritize and make good decisions/judgments.
