Marex’s Algo and Flow department, formerly WEBB Traders, brings together expertise in proprietary trading, electronic market making, and quantitative research. The department provides liquidity across global cash equity and derivatives markets, using proprietary capital, advanced technology, and automated trading strategies.

This role sits within the WEBB team, whose roots date back to 2009. Based in Amsterdam, with a significant presence in Paris, the team combines its entrepreneurial approach and specialist trading expertise with Marex’s global reach, market access, and broader financial services capabilities.

Market makers, quantitative researchers, software engineers, and business professionals work closely together to develop trading strategies, improve technology, and solve complex market challenges. Joining the team offers the opportunity to take ownership, contribute directly to the business, and grow within the wider Marex Group.

As a Senior Quantitative Trader, you will play a key role in the research, development, execution and ongoing enhancement of systematic, data-driven trading strategies across financial markets. You will be responsible for creating new alpha-generating strategies, refining existing models, and identifying opportunities through quantitative analysis, market insights and data-driven decision-making.

Working closely with Trading, Technology and Risk teams, you will help drive the evolution of a scalable, automated trading environment while maintaining a strong focus on performance, risk management and operational excellence. You will develop a deep understanding of strategy behaviour, proactively monitor performance, identify anomalies and changing market dynamics, and implement enhancements to optimise outcomes.

As Marex continues to invest in reducing trading latency, strengthening exchange connectivity and expanding ownership of its technology stack, you will work alongside traders, quants and a specialist team of low-level software and data engineers to rapidly transform research and trading ideas into production.

Backed by Marex's significant capital resources and institutional infrastructure, the role offers a unique opportunity to develop and scale successful strategies without the capital constraints often associated with smaller trading firms, enabling you to focus on delivering sustainable alpha and long-term growth.
