Spanish Translator - Marketing

Market America is looking for an experienced Spanish Translator to assist our Marketing and Product Teams.

Position Summary:

Performs written Spanish/English translation services for corporate business and marketing materials. Handles multiple assignments simultaneously.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Translates, edits, and proofreads marketing and advertising materials.

•Updates and audits the company’s corporate and product Web sites.

•Identifies language issues and makes recommendations to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.

•Performs straight translation (English to Spanish) and reverse translation (Spanish to English).

•Complies with company policies and procedures.

•Performs other duties as needed.

Primary Contacts (outside dept.)

•Product Managers, Scientific Affairs, Legal, IT, department managers, and Executive Management Team.

Supervisory Responsibilities

•None, but may direct or train others.

Education and Experience

•Bachelors degree in Spanish Translation or related field.

•Three to five years of experience in Spanish/English written translation, interpretation, and proofreading of legal, scientific, financial, advertising, and/or marketing materials.

•Or combination of equivalent experience, education, and training.

Skills

•Proficient use of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet workflow tools.

•Above moderate to high levels of English and Spanish writing, speaking, and reading comprehension and linguistics.

•Moderate to above moderate levels of active listening, critical thinking, judgment, and attention to detail.

Working Conditions and Environment

•Intermittently lift, carry, pull, and push up to 20 pounds.

•Continuously see, sit, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.

•Frequently hear and talk.

•Intermittently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, operate foot and hand controls, squeeze, and reach above shoulders.
