What We Offer
~2 min readAt Marshalls plc, we believe building tomorrow's world starts with what we can create together today. Since the 1890s, we've grown from a Yorkshire stone business into a leading UK manufacturer of building, roofing and landscaping solutions. Built on generations of expertise, we're known for quality, innovation and sustainability, helping our customers bring their vision to life and create places that work today and last for generations. Together, we're building tomorrow's world.
Marley, part of our roofing products division has been helping shape the buildings and communities people rely on every day for more than 100 years. Built on a foundation of quality, innovation and expertise, we support customers across the UK with roofing solutions that help bring their vision to life and create buildings that perform today and endure for generations. We're now looking for a Production Planner to join our Manufacturing team at our Gainsborough Site.
You’ll be at the heart of our production planning, making sure we have the right materials, people and capacity in place to meet customer demand efficiently and on time. You’ll coordinate production schedules and raw material supplies, balancing stock levels, labour and customer requirements while keeping SAP data accurate and building strong relationships with suppliers.
You’ll also play an important part in controlling costs, maintaining stock accuracy, supporting quality and sustainable timber sourcing, and driving continuous improvement across our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in production planning, materials planning, purchasing or supply chain, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing production schedules, material requirements and stock availability to meet operational demands.
- Confident using SAP or a similar ERP system, alongside Excel and production/inventory reporting.
- Strong planning, organisation and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work accurately.
- Experience working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery, quality, stock and specification issues.
- A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, with timber/wood-products industry experience or knowledge of FSC/PEFC standards being an advantage.
