The Sr Designer, Printed Wiring Board (PWB) is responsible for designing, developing, and documenting complex printed wiring board layouts supporting Masimo's medical device technologies. This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering teams to deliver high-performance, manufacturable electronic hardware from concept through production while serving as a technical resource for PCB design standards and best practices.
Responsibilities

- →Optimize board designs for electrical performance, manufacturability, reliability, cost, and product quality.
- →Partner with Engineering teams throughout design, validation, and production.
- →Develop and maintain PCB design documentation, engineering releases, and manufacturing deliverables.
- →Support prototype builds, design verification, engineering changes, and production transfers.
- →Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Test (DFT), and applicable IPC standards throughout product development.
- →Drive continuous improvement through design reviews, root cause investigations, CAD standards, and supplier collaboration.
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ yrs of printed wiring board (PCB/PWB) design experience in a product development environment
- Proficiency with PCB CAD tools (e.g., PADS, Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent)
- Experience designing multilayer, high-density, and mixed-signal circuit boards
- Knowledge of IPC standards, PCB manufacturing processes, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and written instructions
- Ability to clearly document technical findings and communicate with cross-functional team members
This position primarily works in a laboratory environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.
