We are seeking a Metals Analyst to research fundamental supply and demand drivers in base and precious metals markets. The ideal candidate will be a junior to mid-level professional with previous experience in metals. Experience working with commodity markets is a plus but not a requirement. Prior exposure to coding and data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of metals markets (e.g., copper, aluminum, gold, etc.), including global supply/demand dynamics, mining/production trends, inventories, and trade flows.
  • Build and maintain detailed supply/demand models, price forecasts, and scenario analyses to generate actionable trade ideas.
  • Collaborate with traders and other researchers to refine the models.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in metallurgy, materials sciences and engineering, production engineering or a related field from a top university.
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets.
  • Excellent quantitative and modeling skills (Excel advanced; Python/R/SQL a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, a self-starter mentality, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

The all-inclusive salary for this position STARTS at EUR 95.000,00. Competitive and performance-based compensation package, depending upon qualifications.
