Job Title: Weed Control Specialist (We’ll Train the Right Person)

This role is for someone who wants to become a professional—not just clock in.

At MasterScapes, our Weed Control Specialists are trusted professionals. They learn the science behind what they do, take ownership of their routes, and take pride in protecting and improving the landscapes our clients depend on.

You don’t need prior experience—we’re looking for someone hungry to learn, ready to be coached, and willing to take responsibility early.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Our ideal candidate is an early-career professional with no prior treatment experience—but a strong hunger to learn, grow, and take ownership. They are coachable, disciplined, and hold themselves accountable without needing to be chased. They pay attention to details, observe patterns, and enjoy solving problems with their hands and their head. They love being outdoors and find satisfaction in meaningful, tangible work—whether that’s caring for landscapes, learning new technical skills, or protecting the health of a property. They are motivated by skill progression, responsibility, and knowing that their work makes a real difference. The ideal candidate is not interested in cutting corners or being micromanaged; they want to earn trust, become a licensed treatment technician, and build a long-term career at MasterScapes where professionalism, pride, and growth are expected.

This might be you if you:

  • Love working outdoors and with your hands
  • Are coachable, disciplined, and take ownership of your work
  • Like learning new skills and getting better every season
  • Notice details, ask questions, and enjoy problem-solving
  • Want real responsibility—not constant supervision

What you’ll do:

  • Learn professional treatment techniques (fertilization, weed control, plant health)
  • Own and manage a route with increasing independence
  • Observe, diagnose, and help solve landscape health issues
  • Build trust with supervisors, teammates, and clients
  • Work toward becoming a licensed Treatment Technician

What we’ll teach you:

  • The technical and safety knowledge needed to do the job right
  • How to think like a treatment professional—not just follow instructions
  • How to grow your skills, responsibility, and credibility over time

This role is not a fit if you:

  • Cut corners or rush through work
  • Need to be constantly told what to do
  • Avoid accountability or feedback
  • Aren’t interested in learning or growing

Why you’ll love working here:

At MasterScapes, Treatment Technicians are respected professionals. You’ll be trusted, developed, and challenged to grow. If you want to build real skills, make a visible difference, and create a long-term career—not just a job—we want to meet you!

If you’re ready to learn, take ownership, and build a career as a trusted Treatment Technician, apply today and grow with MasterScapes!
