About the Role

Maven is looking for a mission-driven, empathetic Obstetrician-Gynecologist in Canada to support our members through virtual care services. 

As a Maven provider, you will have the opportunity to connect with members across the globe, scaling impact and healthcare access worldwide. You will join a curated provider network encompassing 30+ specialties and 350+ subspecialties, dedicated to delivering holistic, high-value care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual care and support to adult members via 10-minute video consults and asynchronous messaging around:
    • Birth control, emergency contraception
    • STI counseling
    • Pregnancy, contraception
    • Yeast infections, BV, urinary tract infections, bacterial vaginosis 
    • Anxiety and depression (including postpartum)
    • Menopause hormone therapy 
  • Capture encounter summary documentation in our practice management system, MPractice
  • Collaborate with Maven’s Care Delivery team to ensure member needs are met, including recommendations for in-person referrals and follow-ups
  • Serve as an ambassador of Maven’s unique care model, providing culturally humble care and championing our belief that better outcomes for women and families mean a better world for everyone
  • Must hold Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC designation), the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC), and be eligible for independent practice with the applicable Provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons
  • Must be residing in Canada
  • Must be fluent in English and French
  • Possess the ability to provide direct member care for 3-5 hours per week. This is a part-time, independent contractor role (1099 position)
  • Have 3+ years of prior experience in the tele-health space. Must be comfortable providing care through a digital health platform
  • Must be passionate about women’s and family health
  • Flexibility. Meet with members virtually, when and where it’s convenient for you.
  • Expand your practice. Supplement your regular practice through Maven’s proprietary, secure telehealth platform:
    • Provide care via video and private messaging
    • Participate in unique opportunities, e.g. moderating community forums, leading virtual member classes, writing or reviewing educational articles 
    • In-person referrals to your practice 
  • Training & events. Optional participation in Maven sponsored lectures, panels, and/or other speaking opportunities as needed
