The Mission
Maxa is seeking a high-energy, curious and growth-driven Senior Product Designer to join our Product & Engineering team to solve one of the hardest challenges in financial tech: making complex, high-stakes data feel simple, intuitive, and actionable.
Maxa has solved the hard technical problem: transforming fragmented ERP data into CFO =-trusted insights in days instead of months. We have the product, the methodology, and an agentic automation platform (Autopilot) that's already deployed on live engagements.
Here’s what a day can look like
- Build and maintain our design system: Become the guardian of our design ethos by meticulously building, documenting, and evolving our design system to ensure consistency and scalability across all our products.
- Own the end-to-end design journey: Dive into collaborative design sessions and lead the design process to bring innovative concepts to life, from initial discovery and whiteboard concepts, to high fidelity, dev-ready specs.
- Design intuitive client dashboards: Design and prototype intuitive dashboards to support complex data visualizations, automated reporting and AI-driven workflows.
- Design for reusability: collaborate directly with engineers to ensure the design-to-dev pipeline is seamless and consistent.
- Validate assumptions and build with curiosity: Conduct user research and rapid prototyping to test new product hypotheses before they hit the engineering roadmap.
Here’s what will qualify you for the role:
- 10+ Years of UX/UI design experience: Bring your extensive expertise to the table with a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences that marry form with function.
- Master of design systems: Demonstrate your prowess in building and maintaining design systems, ensuring cohesion and efficiency across all design endeavors.
- Proficiency in Figma: Command the digital design landscape with your proficiency in Figma, utilizing its robust features to bring your creative visions to life.
- Experience working with Tailwind.
- Startup savvy: Thrive in a dynamic startup environment, where initiative and adaptability are the keys to success. Experience within a 0-1 product environment is a nice-to-have.
- AI curious: Experience with AI tools for rapid prototyping.
- Bilingual communication: Effortlessly communicate in both French and English, fostering seamless collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary (aligned to seniority; this is a newly created role)
- 4 weeks vacation in year one, 5 weeks thereafter
- RRSP employer contribution after 3 months
- On-site chef: three-course lunches for $12
- Stock options in a post–Series A high-growth AI company
- The opportunity to define the infrastructure and security standards for enterprise AI
Your experience is close to what we outlined, but you might not be ticking every box? Apply anyway! 🚀 Passion and curiosity go a long way!
We encourage all qualified candidates to apply regardless of, for example, age, gender, disability, gaps in CV, national or ethnic background.
