Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Technician

You will be maintaining the equipment behind a recognized organic coffee brand, not an anonymous contract line. We are investing in the operation with newer equipment, a facility upgrade on the horizon, and a Facilities Manager with deep electrical and mechanical experience who will help cross-train you on new systems. Mayorga is an organic coffee company operating production lines that include roasters, grinders, packaging equipment, and conveyance systems. When equipment goes down, you will help diagnose the issue and get it running safely and efficiently. This is hands-on mechanical work with enough variety that no two days look the same, on a growing team where your skills and contributions can make a meaningful impact.

We are looking for an experienced mechanical troubleshooter. Food and beverage manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. If you can diagnose and repair machinery, we will provide training on applicable food safety requirements and procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns on production equipment while minimizing downtime
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement
• Adjust and fine-tune machines to support consistent output and product quality
• Work alongside our Facilities Manager and develop your skills across multiple systems
• Document completed work in our maintenance system and communicate clearly with operators and supervisors
• Perform general building and site maintenance, including drywall and minor repairs, anchoring racks and equipment, and serving as an on-site point of contact for approved vendors and contractors
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and similar equipment as needed, following required training and safety procedures
• Follow all company safety, food safety, and sanitation requirements
  
  

• Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience diagnosing and repairing equipment in manufacturing, packaging, automotive, HVAC, industrial, or a similar environment
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems and comfort working around electrical and pneumatic components, or a willingness to learn
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and a safety-focused approach to work
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
  
  

• Food or beverage manufacturing experience
• Advanced electrical or pneumatic experience
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system
  
  

• Mid shift or second shift, with flexibility based on operational needs
