We are seeking an experienced Quality, Risk Management & Compliance Lead who will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the firm's quality, compliance, risk management, and governance frameworks. The Quality, Risk Management & Compliance Lead plays a key role in safeguarding regulatory compliance, strengthening risk awareness, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

  • Min. 7-8 years working experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Quality Management, Internal Controls, AML, Internal Audit, or related fields
  • Graduate in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other relevant areas
  • Strong knowledge of AML regulations, compliance frameworks, risk management principles, and internal control systems
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance and quality management frameworks
  • Experience with client acceptance and continuance processes, risk assessments, and governance activities
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 9001 or other applicable frameworks), quality management systems (e.g. ISQM framework), and regulatory compliance requirements are mandatory
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CIA, CRMA, ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalent represent a strong advantage
  • Willing to continuously improve their knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills in Romanian and English
  • Lead and continuously enhance the firm's Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with professional standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the Compliance & Risk team, ensuring efficient execution of activities, effective resource allocation, and achievement of departmental objectives
  • Coordinate and oversee the internal quality monitoring program, including control testing, quality reviews, root cause analysis, and remediation plans
  • Manage and develop the quality framework applicable to both assurance and non-assurance services
  • Oversee client due diligence, KYC reviews, sanctions screening, beneficial ownership verification, and AML risk assessments
  • Act as the firm's key contact for AML compliance activities, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of AML policies, controls, and governance processes
  • Provide guidance and challenge on client acceptance, continuance decisions, and other high-risk matters from a compliance and risk perspective
  • Manage interactions with regulatory authorities, inspections, reporting obligations, and compliance reviews
  • Develop and maintain the firm's risk management framework, supporting risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting activities
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of relevant ISO standards and certifications
  • Advise leadership and business teams on compliance, governance, ethics, independence, and risk-related matters
  • Review contracts and engagements from a compliance and risk management perspective, identifying potential regulatory, legal, and reputational risks
  • Deliver training and awareness initiatives to promote a strong culture of quality, compliance, ethics, and risk management
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership regarding key compliance, quality, and risk indicators
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory requirements are translated into practical and effective business processes
