Maze of Life is a comprehensive community resource center for social services, mandated and proactive classes, and education.

Operating as a private, franchised organization in 20 states and rapidly expanding, we embody the motto ‘One Company, Many Partners.’

We serve individuals, organizations, and communities by offering 30+ customized classes and tailored support to meet our clientele's needs.

Our in-person and online classes are facilitated by CAMS-Certified Coaches and Counselors. Our slogan, "Guiding the Present to Empower the Future," reflects our commitment to making an ongoing positive impact.

We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-based concepts and curriculum and are keen to help our clients progress in life for those who are truly ready to start the process of re-inventing themselves, becoming all that they could possibly imagine. Maze of Life operates within an entrepreneur-driven culture, designed for those who value both purpose and progress.

We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented substance abuse professional who is passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, thrives in a team environment, and demonstrates integrity, empathy, and cultural sensitivity while delivering evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • Current Illinois IDHS license as a Substance Abuse Professional (e.g., CADC, LSW, LPC, or equivalent).
  • SAP-DOT qualification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing substance use counseling or related behavioral-health services.
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and crisis-management skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practices and ethical standards.
  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling for clients struggling with substance use disorders.
  • Complete assessments and create personalized treatment plans.
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and IDHS standards.
  • Facilitate educational workshops, relapse-prevention programs, and family support sessions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and community resources to support recovery.
