Maintenance Worker

Under general supervision, responsible for the basic maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance work of hospital equipment and grounds. Frequently works as an assistant to skilled trades and maintenance mechanics.

1.      Services, adjusts, and repairs basic mechanical equipment (tables, dressers, wheelchairs, etc.)

2.      Ensures all work areas are well lit and replace bulbs as needed.

3.      Performs basic preventative maintenance according to schedule check lists.

4.      Assists skilled trades and maintenance mechanics in more complex assignments.

5.      Maintains tools in proper repair and use proper safety techniques while completing assignments.

6.      Assists in seasonal outside work, such as snow shoveling, spreading of sand or salt, snow plowing parking lots and driveways and similar tasks.

7.      Completes work orders, record material utilized on jobs and other required documentation.

8.      May also perform general maintenance and repair tasks as required.

9.      Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Required:

• →High school diploma or equivalent.
• →Valid state driver's license.

·         Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.

 Preferred: 

·         Previous relevant experience

·         Previous experience in health care industry.

Required:

Powered Industrial Truck Operator certification within 12 months of hire or transfer.
