Operating Room Assistant

1. →Supports the mission and vision of McLaren Port Huron through behaviors that reflect and integrate our values, as evidenced by observation, peer and customer feedback.
2. →Provides for personal care of patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
3. →Maintains safe unit environment, supplies and equipment for patients and staff to facilitate patient care.
4. →Performs specific procedure and patient testing according to patient plan of care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
5. →Facilitates admission, discharge and transfer procedures for patients on and off unit.
6. →Provides for transportation of patients as requested by licensed nursing staff.
7. →Contributes to the effective communication and efficient operation needs of unit.
8. →Participates in a minimum of fifty (50%) of monthly departmental meetings.
9. →Demonstrates commitment to personal career growth and competency.
10. →Performs other related job duties as requested.

Required:

·         High school graduate or GED

·         Satisfactory work record as delineated by previous work record

Preferred:

·         Previous hospital experience
