Catering Team Member

Simply Gourmet by Metz is looking for dependable, energetic team members to join our On-Call Catering Team for our upcoming season (September–June).

This is a flexible, on-call position supporting a variety of catered events throughout the Sarasota area. We are looking for people who enjoy working as part of a team, aren't afraid of some physical work, and understand that great hospitality makes all the difference.

• →Load and unload catering trucks, equipment, food and supplies
• →Assist with event setup and breakdown
• →Follow Simply Gourmet's Steps of Service
• →Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to our guests
• →Maintain a clean and organized event space
• →Work alongside our catering team to help events run smoothly

• Dependable and punctual team players
• A hospitality-first attitude
• Ability to work on your feet and lift/carry event equipment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and varying event schedules
• Catering, restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right people

Our catering events range from small casual business lunches to extravagant black-tie events.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This can be full or part-time and provides very flexible schedules. Hospitality experience is desired and a SMILE is required!

• Experience desired but we are willing to train candidates with a passion for food and understands the basics

• Ability to apply elementary mathematical statistics that would apply to inventory and portioning

• Be willing to roll up sleeves and contribute where needed

• Hospitality-driven 

• Able to work and thrive in a team environment

• Brings a SMILE and strong work ethic to the TEAM
