Custodial Supervisor

• →Assist in supervising housekeeping staff to ensure all patient rooms, operating areas, and public spaces meet hospital-grade cleanliness and infection control standards

• →Support daily cleaning and inspection of patient rooms, office suites, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces
• →Learn and enforce infection prevention protocols, including proper use of disinfectants and PPE
• →Help coordinate cleaning schedules to minimize disruption to patient care
• →Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, disinfectants, and hospital-approved equipment
• →Assist with onboarding and training of housekeeping staff on safety, hygiene, and hospital protocols
• →Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs, including biohazard spills and isolation room turnovers
• →Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, OSHA regulations, and facility policies.
• →Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to align housekeeping efforts with patient care goals
• →Shadow department leaders to learn budgeting, staffing, and compliance tracking
• →Promote a culture of patient-centered care and hospitality within the housekeeping team.
• →At times will be required to fill housekeeping / Floor Tech shifts as needed
• →Other duties as assigned by the EVS Director and administration

• →Ensures and coordinates custodial and housekeeping operations 
• →Maintains communication with direct manager and responds to request of departments
• →Tours and inspects the facility to ensure cleanliness requirements are met in a timely fashion; addressing any outstanding tasks in real time
• →Oversight of job orders and specifications to understand the materials and labor required to complete a task within each area respectively
• →Works directly with team members to accomplish the daily and specific tasks
• →Assure that team members have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform custodial / housekeeping services at the unit
• →Reduce likelihood of significant disruption of housekeeping services
• →Contribute to the overall success of housekeeping operations by creating a work environment that encourages respect for team members and development of skills

• Experience in either custodial/housekeeping/maintenance
• Preferred candidates with previous supervisory experience
• Preferred candidates who are versed in environmental services
• Willingness to work a variety to shifts and schedules in order to learn all aspects of operations
