Registered Dietitian

We are seeking a Per Diem Dietitian who is passionate about Clinical Nutrition and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced hospital setting and demonstrate compassion, strong communication skills, and a commitment to supporting specialized health and dietary needs.

DUTIES:

• Assesses Patients in accordance with hospital policy utilizing the Nutrition Care Process

• Provides nutrition education to patients and/or caregivers based on assessment of individual learning needs.

• Works closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide inpatient care that is integrated and compatible with the patient focused medical goals. 

• Conducts in-services on nutrition subjects relevant to patient care. 

• Participate in the Development, implementation and updates of internal policies and procedures. 

• Serves as nutrition representative at meetings and or committees as needed. 

• Collaborate with culinary and production teams regarding patient menus; make appropriate recommendations for improving the nutritional content of menus. 

• Support the use of the Diet Office Software Technology. 

• Adheres to practice standards established by local, state and national agencies. 

• Performs other duties as required in relation to job function.

REQUIREMENTS:

·        BS Degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, or Dietetics (Masters Preferred)

·        Registered Dietitian and Licensed RD

·        Experience with specialized nutritional dining software required

·        Experience in a Contract Dining facility setting preferred

·        Electronic Medical Records

·        Nutrition Education
