Main Purpose of Job
Manage Daily Office Functions\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nProvides secretarial support by managing and maintaining the office and lending support to the supervisors, including compiling monthly CMS office day duty calendar, and completing typing assignments accurately, completely, and within prescribed time limits. Compose correspondence to include but not limited to court memos, emails, and appointment letters and review and screen telephone communications for CMS and CMS Supervisor.�\r\n\r\n\r\nThis position is responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the\r\nUpper Marlboro County Office, including Court Services, Community Detention (CD),\r\nRapid Response, Electronic Monitoring (EM), Case Management Supervisors, Case\r\nManagement Specialists, and assigned stakeholders.\r\nThe position also supervises lower level clerical staff and serves as the Office Manager for the Upper Marlboro Office.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r\nExperience: Four years performing secretarial work or clerical work involving typing duties. \r\nNotes: \r\n1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. \r\n2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. \r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate for this position may possess any of the following qualifications:\r\n\r\n\r\n•\tAt least two years of experience working for a senior-level manager, administrator, or executive managing calendars.�\r\n•\tAt least one year of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.\r\n•\tGeneral experience with a database.\r\n•\tAt least one year experience supervising lower level staff.\r\n\r\n\r\n

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability to accurately type on a keyboard on a personal computer at a minimum of forty words per minute may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.\r\n
