Main Purpose of Job
The position oversees and directs the Administrative Overpayments and Policy Units. The position must accurately interpret all local, state and federal regulations, policies, procedures in order to accomplish the mission of the division. The position must supervise, create Standard Operating Procedures, assists with training, coordinates the activities of both units.�\r\n
POSITION DUTIES
\r\n Directing the daily operations of both the Administrative Appeals Unit and Policy Unit.�\r\n Reviews, interprets and then trains staff on policy releases, Action transmittals, Information Memos, and other policy clarifications from all local, state and federal agencies.�\r\n Designs and implements processes to ensure staff abide by the SOPs in place.�\r\n Assists with training staff on policies.\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Please read all requirements before applying.\r\nEducation:�� A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.\r\nExperience: Two years of experience supervising workers engaged in determining eligibility for governmental assistance programs or monitoring compliance in those programs.\r\nNotes:\r\n1. Candidates may substitute additional experience as described on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.\r\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of an Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience involving public contact and performance of support functions directly related to Family Investment program operations for the required education.\r\n3. These requirements are established by the Family Investment Administration by authority provided in Human Services Article Title 5, Subtitle 2, Section 204, (b)(1) of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Office of Personnel Services and Benefits of the Department of Budget and Management and the Examination Services Unit of the Maryland Department of Human Services do not have the authority to accept substitutions or equivalents.\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants�who possess the following preferred qualification(s).�Include clear and specific information on your application regarding�your qualifications.\r\nOne year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Eligibility and Enrollment program software.\r\nOne year of experience creating management reports and utilizing the Family Investment Verification System.\r\nOne year of experience developing and revising processes and procedures to enhance program effectiveness and efficiencies.\r\n

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland. \r\n
