Main Purpose of Job
This position will monitor and assess the quality of services provided to individuals\r\nwith Developmental Disabilities residing and working with community providers in the Central\r\nMaryland Region. This position will provide consultation to existing providers and prospective\r\nprovider agencies who provide services to individuals with disabilities surrounding staffing ratios,\r\nimplementation of person-centered plans, self-directed supports and quality of life improvement. This\r\nposition will recommend and assist the team director, Deputy Director and Regional Director in\r\nplanning for current and future needs with the service delivery system. This position will be\r\nresponsible for the day-to-day operations of an assigned team. This position will be the\r\nimmediate line supervisor of CSP II and CSP III and will require direct working contact with\r\nsubordinates to oversee and provide direction in completion of assigned work activities. This position\r\nmay require public speaking and appearances to the broader community to outline current trends,\r\navailability of resources and assistance for improvement along with providing guidance with case\r\nresolution conferences as appropriate. This position will work directly with stakeholders to\r\ncoordinate placements for the forensic, court, emergency and nursing home populations.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:���A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.\r\nExperience:�Six years professional experience in health services, three years must have been in Developmental Disabilities professional work related to treatment and development of developmentally disabled clients and two years must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.\r\nNotes:�\r\n1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree or a Doctorate degree in a health or human services field from an accredited college or university for up to two years of the required general experience.\r\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services for the required education. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Health Services Administration specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.\r\n

The preferred candidate should possess:\r\n\r\n\r\n Experience navigating community resources.\r\n Experience/Knowledge of person-centered planning.\r\n Excellent communication skills.\r\n Experience with assessment of service needs.\r\n Experience evaluating support plans for compliance with state regulations.\r\n\r\n\r\n
