Make an Impact Beyond Traditional Healthcare!

Are you an EMT, Paramedic, or LPN looking for a rewarding opportunity outside of traditional emergency services or healthcare settings? Medcor is seeking a Full-Time Onsite Health Technician to join our employer-based occupational health clinic in Aurora, Illinois.

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, a collaborative work environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on employee health, safety, and wellness.

As an Onsite Health Technician, you'll be the first point of contact for employees experiencing workplace injuries or illnesses. You'll provide hands-on care, support injury prevention and wellness initiatives, and help employees navigate their healthcare needs.

You'll work independently onsite while receiving ongoing support from Medcor's clinical and operations teams. You'll also collaborate closely with the client's Safety and Human Resources teams to promote a healthier, safer workplace.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Patient Care: Assess, triage, and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor's evidence-based Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs).

  • Manage Clinic Operations: Oversee daily clinic activities, maintain medical supplies, and ensure compliance with established procedures.

  • Support Employee Wellness: Educate employees on injury prevention, health promotion, and overall wellness.

  • Collaborate with Client Teams: Partner with onsite Safety, Human Resources, and other professionals to support employee health and workplace safety.

  • Coordinate Care: Communicate with offsite medical providers, urgent care facilities, and hospitals to facilitate appropriate follow-up care.

  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinic activities using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

  • Conduct Health Screenings: Assist with pre-employment and post-offer screenings, Physical Assessment Testing (PATs), and other occupational health services.

  • Support Case Management: Assist with injury follow-up, return-to-work coordination, and OSHA recordkeeping as applicable.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Current, valid EMT, Paramedic, or LPN certification/licensure applicable to the position.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage daily clinic operations.

  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach.

  • Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and other workplace technology.

  • Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound emergency response bag.

  • A positive, professional attitude and genuine passion for helping others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in occupational health, worksite clinics, or employee health.

  • Background in emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.

  • Familiarity with workplace injury management, OSHA documentation, or return-to-work programs.

Occupational health experience is a plus, but not required. Medcor provides comprehensive training and ongoing clinical support to help you succeed.
