Shipping Operator

The Shipping Operator assists with preparing outgoing shipments.

• Obtain and process product orders including proper labeling and postal charges.
• Troubleshoot shipping issues that arise and notify supervisor as needed of items that require additional attention.
• Inspect shipments to ensure they meet Meissner’s standards.
• Organizing items ready for shipment in appropriate areas.
• Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move or store inventory.

This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.

• Some shipping experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to record production results.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn basic computer skills is essential.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
