Mental Health Walk-In Clinic Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our location in Philadelphia, PA 19132. 

This role is Part-Time, Saturdays and Sundays 10:30a - 7:00p.

Earn $28.39/hr.!

Position Details

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides cross clinic support that includes assisting with intake processes, medical screenings, medication administration and medical case management. The CMA will also collaborate with the multi-disciplinary BHUCC team to ensure strong continuity of care and will work to create and maintain a supportive and empathetic environment for individuals to help them access the care they need.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Certified Medical Assistant strongly preferred 

• Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health, urgent care, or similar environment. 

• Familiarity with medical screenings, biometric assessments, and vital signs monitoring. 

• Ability to administer medications, draw blood for labs and manage medication-related tasks, under the direction of a CRNP or prescriber 

• Detail-oriented and organized to maintain accurate records and documentation. 

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals and colleagues. 

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. 

• Bilingual a plus
