Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career while working with an extraordinary team? At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA.

Shift: Four 8 hour shifts per week (32 hours per week)

Program Hours: 10:30am-7:00pm Sun-Sat

Salary starting at $145,000

About our team:

The Mental Health Walk-In Clinic is Philadelphia’s first and only behavioral health urgent care for adults (18+) needing same-day mental health care that is not an emergency.

We serve individuals experiencing emotional distress, mental health concerns, and/or substance use concerns. Individuals will participate in triage, resolution-focused services, and aftercare planning to prepare for long-term recovery and connection to ongoing care. We serve individuals regardless of income or insurance status. Our services do not replace the need for ongoing mental health care; rather, we aim to reduce avoidable visits to crisis centers and emergency rooms by helping people get the care they need when they need it.

Position Details

The PMHNP provides comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health urgent care services to individuals. Working under the supervision of the psychiatrist, the PMHNP will conduct evaluations, provide clinical interventions, and work within the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, quality care.  Duties include:

    • Coordinate care and treatment modalities with team and external providers.
  • Supervision of Nursing staff:
    • Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring efficient clinical operations and adherence to protocols.

    • Offer empathetic support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes using the BHUCC's electronic health records system.
    • Ensure compliance with documentation standards and legal regulations.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
    • Participate in quality assurance activities, including peer reviews and clinical audits.
    • Stay current with the latest evidence-based practices in behavioral health.
