• →Receiving materials: Receive deliveries from suppliers, unload trucks, and check that the correct quantities have arrived and that items are not damaged.
• →Storing stock: Place materials and spare parts in their correct warehouse bins and storage locations.
• →Issuing supplies: Collect and issue requested parts and supplies to mine personnel.
• →Record keeping: Record all incoming and outgoing stock accurately using computer systems or other required methods.
• →Stock control: Conduct inventory checks and help ensure that physical stock matches the recorded quantities.
• →Safety and housekeeping: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, secure, and free from hazards.
• →Equipment operation: Operate a forklift and other machinery when required.
• →Other duties: Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

The successful candidate should be able to:

• Read and write clearly.
• Understand equipment parts, manuals, and written or verbal instructions.
• Work independently under general supervision.
• Use computers and maintain accurate records.
• Operate a forklift and other machinery safely.
• Pay attention to detail when checking quantities and inspecting materials.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and keep the warehouse organized.
