Why Join MSC?

Manufacturing Sciences Corporation (MSC) isn’t just another manufacturer—we’re one of a kind.  With more than 35 years of specialized experience working with depleted uranium, MSC is the only commercial organization in the world capable of casting, rolling, and machining depleted uranium products.

Our work supports critical industries, and we do it in an environmentally responsible, safety-first, and highly controlled facility.  Just as important, we believe our people are the foundation of our success.  We believe our team has Unparalleled Performance and Unmatched Dedication. Many of our employees stay with us for years—even decades—because they’re respected, supported, and challenged to grow.

If you’re looking for a hands-on role where your work truly matters and where you can build a long-term career, MSC may be the place for you.

The Opportunity: Chemist

Bring your skills to a hands-on laboratory role supporting the testing of depleted uranium, natural uranium, oxides, and other non-ferrous metals. As our Chemist, you will help deliver reliable, traceable results by preparing and analyzing samples, supporting method validation and implementation, maintaining instruments, applying quality controls, and promoting safe laboratory practices. This is an opportunity to solve technical problems, improve laboratory processes, and collaborate with colleagues across engineering and applied uranium technologies.

  • Collaborate with the Analytical Chemist and Chemical Engineer to improve or adapt test methods, formulas, and laboratory processes.
  • Prepare and safely handle solutions, compounds, reagents, and samples in line with storage, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Complete routine and non-routine analyses using appropriate technical equipment and instruments.
  • Clean and calibrate instruments, perform basic troubleshooting, and apply contamination controls that keep laboratory operations dependable.
  • Communicate priorities, technical issues, and findings clearly across the team.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Consistently follow laboratory safety procedures and protocols and help maintain safe lab operations.
  • Utilize your problem-solving and judgment skills
  • Investigate testing or workflow issues, evaluate information, and make sound decisions within the scope of the role.
  • Planning, accuracy, and prioritization
  • Organize work, manage competing priorities, multitask when needed, and maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Work cross-functionally, coordinate priorities, solve problems with others, and communicate findings effectively in writing and verbally.
