Global Procurement

Procurement Analytics and Supplier Performance Improvement

The intern will undertake a structured project within the Global Procurement team, gaining practical exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement analytics, and business process improvement.

Working under the guidance of experienced procurement professionals, the intern will examine procurement and supplier data, conduct market and supplier research, and develop analytical outputs that inform sourcing and category-management decisions.

The project will provide opportunities to collaborate with stakeholders from Facilities, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Global Procurement. The intern will also gain an understanding of procurement governance, supplier evaluation, cost analysis, and digital ways of working in a global business environment.

  • Develop an understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement governance.
  • Apply analytical techniques to procurement, spend, cost, and supplier-performance data.
  • Identify insights and improvement opportunities through structured research and data analysis.
  • Develop practical recommendations that strengthen procurement decision-making and process efficiency.

Strong-performing interns may be considered for future internship or full-time employment opportunities, subject to business requirements, position availability, and the applicable selection process.

  • Analyze procurement, spend, cost, and supplier-performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking for selected procurement categories.
  • Contribute to defined sourcing projects through data gathering, commercial analysis, and documentation.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, or analytical tools that communicate procurement insights clearly.
  • Evaluate selected procurement processes and recommend opportunities for standardization, automation, or improved efficiency.
  • Gain practical exposure to strategic sourcing, category management, supplier evaluation, and procurement governance.
  • Learn how procurement teams conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, spend analysis, and cost analysis.
  • Develop business acumen through collaboration with procurement professionals and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strengthen analytical, presentation, stakeholder-management, and project-management capabilities.
  • A structured analysis of spend, supplier performance, cost, or market information for an assigned procurement category.
  • A supplier-benchmarking or market-research report with clearly documented findings.
  • A dashboard, report, or analytical tool that improves the visibility of selected procurement information.
  • A final presentation summarizing the project methodology, outcomes, and recommendations.
  • Improve visibility into procurement and supplier-performance information.
  • Enable more informed sourcing and category-management discussions.
  • Identify potential opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, or supplier-performance enhancement

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and presentation tools; exposure to Power BI, Structured Query Language, Python, or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to organize information, interpret data, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Interest in procurement, supply chain management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or business operations.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools or workflows for responsible research, data exploration, or productivity is advantageous but not required.

The ideal candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related discipline.

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full-time internship period of 5 months from Jan to May 2027.
