Minden Medical Center is seeking a dependable, organized Dietary Cardex team member to support safe, accurate meal service for patients and visitors. This role helps ensure diets, preferences, and portions are followed while keeping service areas ready and presentable.

Key responsibilities include assisting with tray accuracy (diet kits, beverages, condiments, soups, salads, desserts), monitoring food quality on the serving line, responding promptly to patient diet requests and creating diet cards, operating and reconciling the cafeteria register, and maintaining sanitation standards throughout the cafeteria and serving areas.

Required qualifications/skills:
- One (1) year experience in dietary within a health care setting
- Professional, courteous communication with patients, peers, and hospital staff
- Ability to follow portion standards, diet restrictions, and safety/PPE expectations

You’ll start the day by having the cafeteria ready to open at 7:15 AM—morning beverages and breakfast items set, and the register drawer prepared by 7:10 AM. Between meal periods, you’ll reset the space by wiping tables and chairs, tidying the microwave area, and completing assigned deep-clean tasks.

As the day moves on, you’ll keep Grab-N-Go stocked, stage utensils and supplies for service, and open for lunch at 11:00 AM. You’ll stay attentive to voicemail messages for patient requests, document updates, and deliver items promptly. By mid-afternoon, you’ll close out register functions, complete the Cash Reconciliation Report and daily computer close-out, and turn in funds to the admitting cashier by 2:30 PM.
