Housekeeping Floor Tech/Porter

Minden Medical Center is seeking a dependable housekeeping/porter (EVS Technician) for night shift to help keep our acute care hospital—and attached IPF, IRF, surgical areas, and related clinics—clean, safe, and sanitary. This role supports patient safety, staff wellbeing, and regulatory readiness through consistent environmental services.

Key responsibilities include routine and terminal cleaning of patient rooms, offices, and shared spaces; following infection prevention and EVS standards; performing floor care (strip, wax, buff, and maintain hard surfaces); and traveling to outer-building clinics/offices as assigned.

Qualifications/skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 months healthcare or commercial housekeeping/Floor Tech experience preferred
- Current active/clear Driver’s License

You move through quieter hallways with a clear plan, checking in with clinical teams as needed and working steadily to keep spaces ready for morning activity. Between areas, you document completed work, restock essentials, and handle occasional urgent requests with calm focus. Some nights include time at nearby clinics/offices, so you’ll plan your route, drive over, and finish tasks efficiently before returning to wrap up and hand off updates for the next shift.
