Role Summary 

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to architect, build, and scale multiple web applications. In this role, you will lead end-to-end feature development across modern frontends and Python/FastAPI backends, drive automated delivery via GitLab CI onto bare-metal infrastructure, and mentor junior engineers within an agile team. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Fullstack Architecture & Delivery: Design, implement, and maintain high-performance web applications end-to-end. 

• API & System Design: Architect secure, scalable REST APIs and define clean integration boundaries. 

• Database Management: Model relational schemas, optimize queries, and manage migrations using Alembic. 

• DevOps & CI/CD: Maintain Dockerized application workflows and write automated build/test/deployment pipelines using GitLab CI for bare-metal hosts. 

• Reliability & Observability: Integrate testing suites (unit, integration, E2E) and instrument production observability (metrics, logs, traces). 

• Technical Leadership: Lead architectural discussions (RFCs), enforce code quality standards through reviews, and mentor engineers across the team. 

Qualifications 

Must-Haves 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical field. 

• Experience: At least 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production web applications. 

• Backend: Strong production proficiency in Python, FastAPI, and schema migrations with Alembic. 

• Frontend: Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred; Vue or Angular acceptable) and routing (React Router preferred; Next.js acceptable). 

• Databases: Strong foundation in SQL relational databases, schema design, and query optimization. 

• APIs: Extensive experience designing and consuming production REST APIs. 

• DevOps & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Docker and deploying services on bare-metal servers. 

• CI/CD & Version Control: Proficiency with Git, GitLab, and authoring GitLab CI pipelines. 

• Automated Testing: Dedicated practice writing comprehensive test suites (e.g., Pytest, Jest/Vitest, Cypress/Playwright). 

• Observability: Practical experience instrumenting and debugging applications using an observability stack (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK). 

• Leadership & Process: Proven experience working in an Agile environment, leading technical initiatives, and mentoring team members. 

Nice-to-Have 

• Caching & In-Memory Stores: Working knowledge of Redis (caching strategies, session storage). 

• Architecture: Experience with or understanding of event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging/worker patterns. 

• Target Database: Specialized expertise in PostgreSQL (performance tuning, indexing strategies). 

• Alternative Backends: Working knowledge of Go or TypeScript (Node.js). 

• Alternative Protocols: Experience with gRPC, GraphQL, or legacy integrations via SOAP. 

• Systems Administration: Practical Linux systems administration and bare-metal networking fundamentals.
