• Job Location: Unit 203 - 15300 68th Ave, Surrey, BC, V3S2B9, Canada, various locations in Lower Mainland.
• Permanent Position: Drywall Installer
• No. of vacancies: 05
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Wage rate: Start from $29 per hour; To be negotiated depend on experience / 30-40 hours per week

Education:

• Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate, or equivalent work experience.
• Any additional certifications or training related to drywall installation will be an asset.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in drywall installing.

Language:

• English is required for effective communication in the workplace, including reading blueprints, interpreting instructions, and collaborating with team members.

• Clean and prepare surfaces
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
• Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

• Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking
• Handling heavy loads
• Physically demanding, weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lb)
